Hi guys

Ive recently upgraded me brakes on my 94 VR exective V6 to VT twin piston calipers on the front with bigger disc and there slotted and the rear have ive left the standed calipers but upgraded the disc to slotted rotors. At first the beake pedal was **** house and i was told id have to put a double diapham booster and a 1' master cyclinder to get my pedal back. Ive done the booster and it did improve the pedal a fair bit but im still not happy with it. I was wondering if anyone had a 1' master cyclinder laying around that would fit my VR.
Thanks

Adam

Im not to sure ive been told the VR SS master cyclinder is a 15/16 bore but thats because of the ABS. I Think the VN SS doesnt have ABS and would have the 1' bore im after, but then im not sure if it would bolt straigh on thats the only problem.
Thanks
Adam

I know it sounds strange, but have you replaced the rear pads?

I swapped my VS brakes to VT calipers and then took it to a place (a brake "specialist"!) to have them bleed the system. They insisted that the calipers wouldn't work, and assured me that it can't work, despite having friends that have done the same conversion. I got them to put the standard front calipers back on, and there was still poor pedal pressure.

I had them replace the rear pads, and guess what, good pedal pressure. I'm not sure if this will help you, but if you haven't already, it might be a good time to change them.

Yes i have replaced the rear pads. I did them when i did the upgrade. I got in the kit front and rear rotors, fornt VT calipers, front braided lines, hub adapders for the front. The pads i put in are a police type pad ( well the same compound as then ). I was told they would have to have a bed in space on about 500km. Its now been about 5000km and the pedal is still a little soft.
