Bubbling through the fuel tank

hi guys, hope someone can help...got a vs iii 304 (now 355) ute and when i turn the engine off i can hear a fairly loud bubbling noise coming from the fuel tank...any ideas?

I know its an old thread but did u figure out the problem as I have the same issue atm.
