Buying a VT SS ls1, can i change the bonnets?

sorry if stupid question, im wondering if i can put a bonnet from another Model SS ( that has vents and looks tough ) on my VT ss ls1 , does it need to be a specific model? thanks

VT, VX & VU bonnets will all interchange with one another.
I presume you are referring to the Monaro style of vented bonnet

They do pop up occasionally second hand on Ebay......very, very rare occasions
But for what people usually ask for them + freight, personally I'd just buy a new one when I had the funds to do so

Apparently, the vented Monaro bonnets will not fit if you have an aftermarket OTR air filter.

It's not that the Monaro bonnets won't fit, the issue is that nearly all OTR's will have clearance issues with the bonnet.
As far as I know there is only 1 brand of OTR that will clear a Monaro bonnet and that is the plastic VCM OTR....
