Hi All,

Has anyone ever used a Castlemaine Gearbox cross member and made it fit?

I just got one on friday and although it looks to be good and the bolts line up, there is about a half inch gap between the cross member bracket and where it bolts on to the car.

I've sent CAE an email to check if i've installed it correctly but I'm pretty sure I have. It's as if the transmission mount is too thick.

Can I make a spacer to fill the gap and get longer bolts?
Pics are below.

I'm not too sure of the problem here? Just put the bolts in and tighten it up, as it tightens the box will just be lifted closer to the floor.

Unless the problem is that not enough space and the box is hitting the floor?

Motor and gearbox should be set at a correct angle hence why it might be different to your last setup.

CAE responded to me email, apparently you need to use a different mount. Part number A1158 which I think is a T400 rear mount.

Would have been nice to have bene told this when I bought the thing
