So the cord plays music from your iPod/iPhone through your head unit? I'm sold shut up and take my money!

Yep, and also charges the iPod/iPhone - so it's useful. The cord just reaches to fit in where the handbrake would go if it was on the other side (you know what I mean!) and fits in fairly well there.

Only thing is it doesn't draw enough power to properly charge an iPad, but I expected as much!

yeah easy as #### hahah just wire it through to the glove box or under the headunit and just tuck it back in when u no use it
