Caliper colour

Future black rims, thinking red would look nice. others seem to think it will look gay, maybe im a little fu*ked and dont get it but i think it will be sweet as fu*k in red

Anyone doned this before? suggestion help etc etc do your thing Booooom

Should look good in red on a black car.
Though if you have standard brakes, it will make them STAND OUT, which may be the reason why others think it may look gay.

I think with brake caliper painting, it depends on the car colour, and what the intent is.
I have some redline Brembos, that are red that I will be fitting up, but the red colour does not suit the colour of my car. (SANDSTORM - Light metallic beige).

I am thinking of spraying them up before fitting, and either going black (Which will suit my current rims), or Silver (Like the early Series II Redline models), or even colour coding them.

(I dont want them to stand out, so red and yellow colours are out), I want them to look clean and subtle.

In my opinion and Ive said it before in relation to this, there are couple of things to consider.

1. If you do red, everybody has done it. Not saying thats bad or dissing those guys but theres tonnes of commy's out there with red brakes. Even my new HSV..... get what I mean.
2. depends on the car and the brakes on it.
3. pick something that is different. On my black car I followed a scheme. Black car with green highlights which followed onto my brembos. Now, I am wanting to do my HSV calipers white to match the car. I still think yellow looks great on cars but since HSV used it on the 6 pistons, you may get comments about it.

IMO, we dont see enough painted differently.

I think red looks nice and clean on stock brakes. I've done mine in red, not because I'm pretending to have brembo's or anything but because I think it helps tidy up the car for almost no money.
Plus it works well with my red trolley strip and red light covers.

with a bright colour they will stand out so on small brakes look rude IMO. I left my new wilwoods black so they wouldn't stand out purposely, the old ones were polished but like all alloy started to get a bit of corrosion so look pretty average after a while if you don't clear coat them. what size are the brakes?

I reckon a matte gold would look hot against a black body.

I would take a stab in the dark and say STANDARD.

Go a nice bright orange... will look *MINT* on a black car with black wheels.
