vr ss
Hi guys, i have read greenfoams cam guide. Doesn't really help me at this point in time. My vr ss 5speed has worn the cam lobes down, after almost 18 years of use.My mechanic has suggested the crow 5603, but when I checked out their site this morning it is listed as a carby engine cam. Will this work in my 304 as the mechanic reckons he has used them plenty of times before in 304's, or do I need to highlight his mistake and go for the 4602/4603? Has also quoted me $700 to supply and fit cam, lifters, valve springs? Is this competitive or not.

Thats a great price,I had a cam put in a couple of years ago and just the cam cost $800,but I had it mildly worked,it was a Larry Perkins racing cam.Go onto the mace performance site or give them a pm.

yeah price is good i think he made a mistake on cam choice as carby cam wont fit per see in an efi engine due the teh valve arrangement
