I just changed one of the cam solenoids and went non genuine - big mistake . Instantly got 4 error codes stating both cam solenoids and O2 sensors heater were low range . Checked the engine fuses and found the 15 amp ENGSENSS 2 blown. Replaced with a new fuse and blew straight away.
Checked the resistance on the non - genuine, reading 6 ohms whereas the originals were closer to 8 ohms, so was pulling 25% more amps
So - replaced with a genuine solenoid today and all is well.
Luckily - bought on E-bay so can get the non-genuine refunded .
