Can someone please definatively identify what this air box came out of?

Hi guys,

can someone identify what this air box has come out of? I have been to 2 different mechanics and told 3 different things. The air filter itself has a ford stamp on it. It is currently in a 97 VT.

It looks like a BA-BF xr6 air box.

One of the mechs did say out of a falcon. If thats true, then someone needs a slap up the side of the head. Sacrilege!!!

I'd say they did it to get the CAI. is that what I can see in the top left of that photo????

I just checked your link & that air filter bottom right is the one in my car. Why put an xr6 one in? are they supposedly better?

Not really sure they are "better" but filter size would be bigger, and the intake (top of picture - cut off) would be larger than a VT one.

No, it's just the stock standard vt one.
