Had to do a brake pad change on the VT today as it looks like the original holden pads are still in it and not looking too flash.
As you know the caliper bolts can be bloody hard to loosen off especially if they have been loctited.
I got most of them off with a socket and a lot of bashing with a hammer on the bar but one of them was just not coming off and I was running out of energy and patience. And my neighbours were running out of patience with the bashing noises on a Sunday morning !
Then a light bulb lit up above my head.
I positioned the breaker bar so it was pointing to 9 oclock and placed a trolley jack under it to give it some extra force. It worked a treat, wish I thought of it sooner.
