cant put throttle down

Today was driving around all of sudden i give the car some power and nothing happens, just splutters until i give it heaps, sounds like its backfiring so it might be spark plug???

maybe something fell off

are u able to pop bonnet and inspect everything connected tightly?

put injector cleaner in it? what fuel do u use

Fuel filter blocked?????? When did you last change it?????? If so, never run your vehicle under 1/4 tank as trash can be pulled up, in particular old cars.

well it was plugs, misfiring cylinder but now i have rough idle. sets just under 1000 rpm at the lights, could this be leads?? fuel filter?? or sensors??

do a ecu reset and see if it settles..but do a code check before

make sure all the leads are seated firmly , and in the right place.

VS Commodore S2 Ute Manual
Could be your DFI module, mine did that a while back, was on track for 5 hours straight and fried the dfi. ran lumpy and was missing on a cylinder.

Could be dirty/incorrectly set spark plugs, leads could be shorting out, coil might be intermittently dying, or DFI.

Pull your plugs off one by one and using a set of electricians pliers or an insulated pair of pliers hold close to a metal part of the car and check to see if each plug sparks.

EDIT: these are the most obvious electrical problems, could be dirty fuel, fuel filter, pump, or injectors.
