Centre Console

Has anyone put a switch and light inside their centre consoles??
I dont think it would be too hard but too lazy to pull the console out to see if there is a loom there already.

If theres no wires there (i didn't on my ute or couldn't be bothered finding it) run it of the cig plug via the console lid switch.
Note: i think this is an acc or ign supply, if you want power all the time maybe go via the mobile phone connector on the left side of the console., pull glove box out and there are 2-3 screws on the right side it should then fall down and the plug is there taped up, you could get perm posative and negative there.

yes from holden or wreckers same as the globe holder.

The kits contain the wiring, bulb, switch and faceplate. You can buy them on eBay for $30-40; click here for a link. The wiring replaces the existing wiring to your 12v power socket allready in your centre console. The light will work provided the accessories are enabled. I would recommend getting your dealer to install it when you get the car serviced - it isn't difficult, but it is a nuisance.
