You can get a set of kingsprings for 350 bucks new off ebay for front and rear, low or super or ultra but don't go to ultra, then I suggest getten some front and rear gt sports shocks so all up for all parts and labour youre looking at the 1000 mark for job done, but what ive done with mine is replace all bushes and still gotta put in a rear camber kit im on vy ss 18s, the ride is terrible on adelaide roads and ill be getten a set of 17s next year and maybe raising my car from super low to low's, lowering is just for looks standerd suspension is better.

i went pedders heavy duty :) standard at the front and raised in the rear :) :) my king springs failed and went soft and then had boat roll when going around a corner.if you want it lowered buy a sport car.you will end up doing the drive shafts in with it being lowered and other components. i went kyb front struts brand new top rubber and bearings e.t.c. and gt rear shocks,at the moment with my set up i can go 60 through a round about and it travels like a dream :) with no rear end flick out.all up having a guess I've spent $2,000 only because i got king springs first and then went pedders only springs better then pedders is lovells

Don't lower it so it is under 100mm from the lowest point if the under carriage,
if the Police can not run their 100mm height guide under the lowest point, then its to low, you will slapped with a canary.
[that's the standard rule in Victoria I have been told]

It is ideal to get the relevant heights from your local rego department, before progressing with lowering the car, as every state has different rules. So this advise you have given is great as a starting point.

I recently lowered my VX S2 with monroe
gt sports lowered shocks and
super low kingsprings front and rear.
Shocks = $410
king springs = $310
New HD front strut mounts =$200
adjustable rear camber bushes were $175

I did all the work myself so no labour cost
and has breathed new life into her, handles
like a dream, rails corners at speed,
better traction and puts power to the
rear wheels so much better as no more
"IRS squat" in the rear when
accelerating/ changing gears etc.

My front end just behind the front wheels
is approx 130mm and rear is 145mm.
The rears are KHRL-HD springswhich i
was advised would be better as rear is not so
low and doesnt scrub out and can get over
most speed humps.
I havent even needed to fit the rear camber
bushes yet as rear camber and tyre wear is
fine, though i do have VX S2 so has the
updated VY type rear cradle with toe
adjusters etc but have them ready to go
if ever needed.
Hard to justify spending $1000 on a $2000 car
but im glad i did. As my VX has only 220k
on odometer ill get my moneys worth out of
them =)
Like said above u can hit roundabouts at
60kmh+ and it just rails through them with
nearly no body roll or front/rear pitching
at all..i love it =)

4 years ago we had Pedders do ours, springs, shocks, pump up towing package, front end upgrade, slotted rotors, brakes, brake fluid flush, new front trans cooler metal tube and front hubs, $2700.
Great value for money and worth every cent.
