Car won't start (help)

Had the car just a few days, did a few short trips in it. Went to start it a couple of days later and it fires but won't keep going (just a few seconds). (help) Battery is ok.

Possibilities

Obvious one - check fuel

Could be fuel related - eg no fuel, fuel pump

Could be part of the engine management system

I'm not a mechanic - but thought would start the ball rolling for you

SSv8pilot ;Thanks ; You are probably right with the engine managment system,following usual running i garaged it for a week ,turned key ,dash lights ok fuel pump runs then cuts off,no cranking, turned key on off on off,engine fired 1 or 2 seconds and stopped (battery seems ok, it starts sort of).This is the story every time i try,i rekon i am not the only to have this happen.
