What role is it that you are attempting to move to?

going for a tanker driver role for Fonterra NZ , after 23 years in blue I'm over it , it's slowly been doing my head in over the last couple of years , for those from the older school of policing it's changing .

Your progressing well, have you given notice with the cops yet?

I applied for 2 jobs this week, hoping to hear back from one sometime next week......

When I get confirmation early next week , I give them one months notice , and sign off . I'll have a break before I start though , which Fonterra are fine with .

Cheers guys , it's a big change , but it's time for it .
A part of me will miss it , I've met and worked with some fine people , men and woman who truly do the uniform proud , with compassion and integrity and I hope they continue to do so .

Cheers mate , yes a lot of NZ cops have a good reputation for patience , I did my initial policing in South Africa , where things are a lot different , coming over here was lot different , but things have changed , and not so much for the better in my own opinion .
