Just after i got my SV6, i got a quote from carline muffflers in Castle Hill. On a twin 2" catback for $400 supplied & fitted. Im yet to do more searching, as to wats on offer.

Didnt go to CHE, as i had an exhaust fitted to a previous car & noticed about a yr after that, cracks started to develop in the welds. Not going back there.

considering the exhaust had a 2 year warranty on it you could just bring it back and it would be checked and fixed if it was a faulty weld or muffler....

or maybe it didnt have a crack in the weld or you would have been on the phone....

HAHA I love when business owners do this.

Great work Dale.

I hear nothing but praise from CHE, especially from LSx owners.

Wow, theres a lot of crap in this thread

twin system sounds best on a alloytec, period, single sound crap

Have done single 2.5" and 3", done twin 2 1/4 and 2.5, twin sounds best

if you have good extractors and hi flow cats, you cant even use a single as it will sound so bad your ears will just about bleed from the raspy note at about 3000rpm

I specialise in Alloytecs and have tried many different configs and the best is twin 2.5" with 3 mufflers if you have big extractors and hi flow cats, if you have cheap crappy extractors or standard headers then use a twin 2 1/4 system with hot dogs in the middle and 1 rear muffler or just one rear muffler

single systems suck on a alloytec, I have heard many cars on youtube with singles and they all sound awfull, absolutly crap, anyone that has heard my ute in the flesh has no idea its a six, and they all coment on the tune it makes

If your car is stock then a 3" single with 2 mufflers is okay, but if you upgrade to big extractors and cats (2.5") it will sound crap and it will need to be changed to a twin anyway, so best option is a twin, just buy a cheap v8 twin system and fit it up, most places will do a cheap setup for about $650 ish, some maybe cheaper just get one with all 3 free flow mufflers

end of rant

Back your words up with a video, soundfile or anything, as far as im concerned and a lot of other people no one can say anything sounds bad.
I believe my car sounds good, other people do, you do not, your opinion mean nothing to me, maybe your setting the exhaust up wrong, my muffler is after the 2:1 Y Join. Good Power Gains and sounds nice. Let's do this, when you get a good sounding twin system tell me and we will do a poll!

as far as im concerned i think twin 2.5 is too big for a V6. Twin 2 1/4 with a custom setup maybe alright but i want to hear your support to your BIG CALL saying all Singles sound ****..

ive been doing a fair bit of research on this and for the most part most people recomend a single 2.5" as it gives a good gain to performance and has a good clean note without highway drone, quality does matter, differant muffler will give a differant note.

most exhaust places i have called over the last week recomend a 2.5" cat back and pacemaker extractors, or if a twin system is a must a twin 2 1/2 is the best bet as twin 2.5" or single/twin 3" you start to lose power for some reason, alloytec loves backpressure it seems.

im keen to hear some more exhaust's would like to see some people posting thier fully sik twin 2.5" exhausts!

I think the 2 1/2 single sounds good on the alloytechs, as do most people on the forums.

But if the twin 2 1/4 sound so much better, can you post a vid, as at the moment it's just talk as we have nothing to compare all the 2.5" vids too.

People will keep thinking that the 2 1/2's sound good because many places don't reccommend the twins saying they sound crap.

I would like to see them proven wrong and actually show that twin 2 1/4's are good.

well I will have to upload something, I fit exhaust's and custom tune Alloytecs, I dont just sell the crap 2.5" premade system that most places do as I know it sounds bad, most exhaust fitters dont know much about this motor

i dont doubt your ability's, idea's opinions and expertise, my exhaust complete, except pacemakers is custom.

The X-Force System impulsesv6 has fitted is a twin 2 1/2 sounds great, very similiar to mine and we both agree that the power difference would be tiny his with a tinge more
