My times are fine. I'd much prefer to be a few tenths slower and drive around in a car that is safe and done right rather than the half arsed crap that you advocate.

was told at a muffler shop that , by removing the cat, it would give you about the same power increase as fitting headers, but a fraction of the cost. your thoughts on this..

Actually, if you did that you would see no performance increase... because the stock exhaust manifold would still be a major restriction on the exhaust system.

I wouldn't be suprised if this exhaust shop your talking about also told you fitting a cannon and an ebay powerchip will give you an extra 200rwkw.

Plus, its totally illegal.

On a drag strip with the old motor Reapers VP would have been quicker than my VP and your VN :S pretty easily too, it's lighter than either and a manual, better exhaust etc. New motor well.. that's just alot better again
