Hi,

I have a CD that won't play or eject in my standard cd player in the VY II.

Has anyone had a similar problems or suggestions/tips on how I can get the sucker out without doing too much damage? :)

Cheers,

Chris

get some removal tools & pull the unit out of the dash for a minute or so
when you put it back in immediately eject the disc dont try to play it
it should come out.

This has been covered before several times.

Apparantley, you can disconnect the battery for a few minutes and when you reconnect it, the CD player resets itself and spits the CD out.

Davey is 100% correct. This same problem has happened to me twice and can be fixed simply by disconnecting the reconnecting the battery. It seems to happen randomly to certain burnt CD's (so i have been told). Give it a go, you shouldn't have any problems getting it back out again. Good luck.

Hey, thanks for the tips. I finally got around to trying out the disconnecting battery trick and it worked a treat!

This particular CD was a Verbatim CD-R. Does anyone have a brand of CD that is guaranteed to work in these players. This is the first CD that has had this problem which is wierd...could it be the burn speed?

Cheers,

Chris

Verbatim

use the exact same cd's im my stock headunit and they work a treat. its all down to the format. how are you burning them? you should burn it as an Audio and it is measured in time rather than size......

hope thats usefull

I find that TDK CDs work well in 'em.
