I have a vt ss, it wont unlock via the key head buttons, was told tried the sensor,.done that. Tried pressing lock unlock ect with the key in the ignition still nothing. The old owner said its a new key but hadnt been programmed properly for the central locking. Is this possible. The car starts and runs. All the bcm controlled objects work bar the keyless entry

i'm thinking it's either a program problem or a flat battery in the keyfob.if the key works in the barrel and the door lock and boot lock i would just grab another ecu and bcm and keyfob as a set from somewhere that matches your system the info is on yours.then just unplug all yours and put replacements in, then undo the 2 screws on both key fobs and swap over the key to a working system.
