Check powertrain and safety mode reduce performance

I have a 2005 vz berlina and the "check powertrain" and "safety mode reduce performance" comes up on the dash and I've lost power I'm guessing spark plugs and coils but what your suggestions?

+1, have you had the car scanned and if so what codes have come up? Better do that than throw money at something that might not fix the problem.

It doesn’t work like that. That check power train warning is set by 100’s of different codes relating to different issues.

Get a decent scan tool onto it and that provides a start point for further investigating.

Codes are not magical solutions to the cars problems. It’s not the computer telling you what’s broken. The codes are set when recorded data exceeds the set thresholds. This is where the looking begins.

Hey guys , lil update had the car go into the shop today and had it scanned they said that there is no communication with the computers and it my engine been over heating they're suggesting maybe cooked engine or something but yeah could be the ECU
