Checking error codes VR/VS (Revised)

When i short the two terminals out my light flashes 12 once then just flashes constantly like over 100 times with no break.

i got a code 31, theft deterrent signal missing or something.
Anybody know what to look into next for this??

I checked my faults, As i started my vs and the engine light stayed on, hasnt came back on since so wasn't sure. What could these be caused from.

Also if i get 12 first does that mean its fixed?

1st 12

2nd 42 - Electronic Spark Timing Bypass Circuit fault (EST)

3rd 76 - Air/Fuel ratio variation between left and right banks

my car is reading code Code (81 - 2 - 3 Shift Control Solenoid Fault - Auto Transmission Only) how do i fix this

ok i did that thing and i got Code 22 - Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) low voltage, which i hope isnt too bad i just dont know how to fix it any ideas???? i just changed my throttle body over to a bored out one on my v6 vs it came with new plugs for the electric bits that plug in and i tryed the car with both the old plugs and new plugs reset the computer each time and still i get the light thing staying on the dash no idea how to fix it help please!!!

ye hi i put my stock chip back in and engine light stays on, it wont flash any codes anymore ,it did before

Is there any way to check the error codes on 2003 VY, 3.8L. I tried by shorting pin 5 and 6, but nothing happens.

My code has come up 36 and there is no code 36 in the link with list of codes. can anyone explain (vs 1998 v8)
