Chopped auto loom

[Hilux 3.8]

Hi guys,

I've dropped a VX 3.8 into my Hilux 4wd and I'm getting to the fiddely stuff.

The motor was an auto and I'm mating a Toyota box to it so I need to earth the neutral safety lock out. I've had the vats removed and auto stuff removed from the PCM.

Problem I'm facing is the auto loom was chopped in the engine bay so I've no idea what wire/s I need to earth to bypass neutral safety switch.

So I've got a bunch of wires hanging out of the back of the GM loom, any one know what colour wire I need to earth/bridge? I've scanned Google for answers and some say the wire is grey but there are three grey wires in the loom so I'm stumped!

Also there are to vac points on the back drivers side of the plenum, one large one very small (too dark for photos arm). Anyone know where these went to in the commodore?

The thin hose supplies the vacuum for A/C vent controls and heater tap. The larger one is for the brake booster. Can't help with the wiring.

Neutral start switch is located in the middle of the attached diagram, just above the PCM.
You will probably have to zoom in on the diagram to see it properly.
100 to 150% should do it.

Just spend the last half hour trying to upload some pics but theyre to large.

So looking at that diagram it looks like I'm chasing a grey wire. Thing is in the hacked loom to the auto there is 2 grey wires.

Just wondering if I could earth the grey wire that is coming straight from the start relay???

The grey wires get connected together by the neutral switch. The PCM earths the wire to crank and has a built in safety so it wont crank with engine all ready going.

So because Ive fitted a manual g/box do I bridge the two grey wires? Will this tell the PCM its in park and will start?

Yeah from memory you just connect them and the PCM is happy.
