Its call electroliting i (spelling no idea) think....um i think nethin can be done 
you could get "chrome paint" but it wouldnt be shiny like the berlinas

Berlina, Calais and Statesmans all have the chrome you are talking about.
The best option would be to source one of the above from a wrecker and obtain the chrome moulding that way. Other than that, you could go to holden and buy new but would be expensive.
Other than those 2 options, simple. Be happy with black?
