Hi,

Just purchased new SV6 Commodore sedan and was wondering what cleaning products and procedures are in order to maintain the vehicle?
For the Exterior. I've used blue Armor all Car Wash.
Interior:
Leather - Gear Selector and Steering wheel - used Armor all Leather Proctant
Seats - Kenetic Suede and Sportec Appointed Seats with Red Stitching -Any ideas?
Fabric/Plastics - Just Armor All Interior Cleaner

For the wheels I usually just use a brush and water.

Whats a good routine to follow?

Do some research. Never Armorall product imo. Lots of good stuff about Autoglym, Bowdens, even Megauirs. Go look at detailing sites.

HI,
There are lots of detailing sites around and I'm sure each one will say the products they sell are better than the products the detailer next door sells.

I would be more inclined to ask actual users what products they are using and see which is the most widely used.

Maybe we need a poll on cleaning products?

cheers

Forgot to answer routine...

First I pre soak using Foam Lance
Then I pressure clean the foam off
Then I use 2 buckets ( others have different ideas) one bucket has your soap suds the other is clean water to rinse your wash cloth between each dunk in the soap suds.
Wash a section then pressure off
Then dry with a good drying cloth, ( not a chamois)

Then do what ever else you like doing....

Then have a beer..... and admire your sparkling car.

And if your smart get paint protection done... it lets you get to the BEER part earlier ( no need to polish)

cheers ( again)
