Clearance from extractors?

How much clearance would i need between the steering rack and extractors so they dont hit the rack? ive got about 10mm at the mo just from shimming the engine mounts

got some modified 1 5/8ths pacemakers to fit on a vt l67 in a vr body. i just need the clearance to pass my cert so i should have tonnes of room then

10mm is usually the min clearance for engineers cert

Cheers thats good to know better make sure im not a bit under 10mm or just hope theyre a bit more leniant in nz

meh dont worry as long as it doesnt fowl on anything when they drive it we just went through this here in NZ.dont forget a driveshaft loop withen 150mm of the front universal X .

Sweet as sorted the driveshaft loop now rang up the cert guy and he said hell pass it if its welded to the crossmember o well hope the clearance it has keeps it off the steering rack
