Touching on this again. Both struts were completely stuffed. Once removed I was able to slide the chromed ram in and out by hand and the bearing cases fell apart and went everywhere. Replacing both fixed alot of the handling and height issues but the clunk was still there.

Noticed when replacing struts that the sway bar links were a bit worse for wear. Replaced the sway bar links today and issue is now completely gone. Replaced them with Nolathane 42716s from Repco.
