Code removal on Edit

Hi all , i need to remove an error code ( engine light on) from my Vt LS1 auto with Edit , going to do this by removing number four/eng cont fuse and following the standard procedure. I am worried this memory wipe may affect my tune , tell me my fears are groundless , please !., cheers.

Groundless. It's stored in non-volatile memory and overwrites the factory tune.

Thanks heaps . By the way , does anybody know if a A/C malfunction would throw an engine light ? , worked fine before light came on , now green A/Con light o'k' , both engine fans go on , but A/C doesnt engage , had it regassed/resealed a few weeks ago and worked fine till this engine light came on , coincidence ?.

Sounds like a code for A/C clutch not working, try swapping the A/C clutch relay and fuse. Not sure which ones they are but it should say on the fusebox.

O'K' , tried the fuse 4/f31 removal thing and the engine light reapears after 4/5 seconds after restarting , mate reckons oil pressure switch on back of engine likely culprit , are these hard to get at ?, cheers.

Hi , just an update , may be of some use to others . A Snap on tool brought up Purge valve , Maf sensor and A/C clutch low voltage errors . We changed out purge valve and cleared codes , A/C and purge valve codes re-appeared , will be giving Brad at Advanced a call when he's got time , but im happy nothing of a major fault came up .
