After i put my twin throttle body plenum on in the next few weeks ill probably need more unrestricted air so im going to scrap my K&N pannel filter and put a K&N pod filter inside my airbox.
I already have an SS indusction CAI feeding the box.

Pods are great if you follow it up with sheilds and keep all the engine heat out.

great idea man...if you cant get the pod to fit inside the stock airbox (as they are pretty small) you might try either a larger top box off a v8 hsv or even try find a vz hsv box which already has fittings for a pod (as thats what they use for a filter)....i've was toying with this idea myself, but i like the way ive got mine now anyway.

The VT air box has plenty of room for a pod, it would be another story if it was going in a VS as they have a smaller air box

ah k cool...i knew the vt+ had larger airboxes..but i still wasnt sure whether a pod would fit.
buying a vt box and putting it in a pre vt model would be a nice and cheap way of getting this setup...(ideas, ideas, lol)

but how would you hook up a pod to a vt airbox? you would have to get some type of adapter.

Inside the lid of a VT airbox is a nice pipe that protrudes in a little.
You'll need a peice of smaller diameter pipe to fit inside the airbox lid pipe.
The pod goes on the end of that smaller diameter pipe.

Ill get some pics tomorrow if i remember.

If your referring to the bellmouth inside the airbox, it can be unbolted (vs had two nuts & bolts) and bolt on an adapter to mount the pod off the lid .
