the original battery was 430 cca sounded sad so stuck it in my HQ
and got a Delkor 620 nice battery at a great price, turns over well , but needed a battery for the tractor so put it in .
and now got an Optima 35 Redtop 720cca that I got for $249.00 delivered , cranks away nicely :) they're good value now .

Go as big as you can afford. I would use 600 minimum. I have an 800 in my Rangie, and that's only a 3.5L.

Car batteries is one of those things were bigger is definitely better.

I had a 620cca in various cars and it lasted for about 10 years. It wasn't been taxed hard and with plenty of reserve capacity for those occasions when things don't go quiet to plan

So i'm going to need 580cca i think. Will my mods make a difference to what i need? Cam, extractors and the like?
WEll according to this you only need 270cca and Battery cca is at 0 deg C
