VX SS (Original owner).
My VX SS has a plate in that location as well as the one on the rad support panel. The one on the firewall is the compliance plate it contains the VIN, the actual date it complied with ADR's, 06/07/01 in my case, not just month and year as the one on the rad panel, also a few other bits from memory.
The one on the radiator support panel is the build plate and shows info about the vehicle ie: build date, engine type, trans, diff etc. both plates are similar in size and looks. P/car stands for passenger car as mentioned by a previous poster.

P/car means police car had a vx had p/car on plate, extra marks on speedo reading Eg between 10 and 20 kilometers an hour it will have extra dashes 10ks 12 ks marks and so on plus it will have a chip on the computer and FE2 suspension.
if this helps !!.

This has been discussed a lot on here in the past.....
My VT SS says P/car as well, so does my daughter's S2 VX, and my mates VT.
and none of them were Police cars.
It's just a code they apply to the compliance plate, for your every day passenger vehicle.

People like to think it stands for police car (wank factor) but
it just stands for Passenger Car.

There would be one hell of a lot of ex Police cars out there if it did.

And just to drive the point even harder.........
Here's a sample of a Police ID plate.

This should stop people wondering...... "Do I have an ex Police car or not"?
