It’s a VE. It’s going to be expensive
AC tech said the engine side of these is pretty inexpensive. And the biggest issue is next to no one services them until something goes wrong. Inside the cab I imagine is a bigger problem. Hopefully mine is sorted with a service, as it is low on gas I believe. Because surely 15 should be freezing not just nice on a hot day.

Do you run your AC set at 15?
That's got to give the compressor a hard life.

Yeah most of the time. Only in the morning can you run it at 17 - 18. Try it at 17 in the afternoon and you roast. It should be freezing at 15, but it's not. I don't see a service sticker anywhere on it so it's likely never been done. According to the AC tech this is all too common. He said rarely do people get their AC serviced unless it plays up, but it should be done every few years apparently.

PM me a price Fu. My AC comp might be on it's way out. Unless the issue with mine is just a simple service required?
Get a part number for yours to cross check if V6 is the same as Black Thunder V8.

Climate control set to 15, slight amount of humidity, maybe the evaporator iced up?

Don't know, never done it before and was blowing ambient air. If these are the symptoms yeah may well have been.

It's going in for a service soon I'll mention it to the AC tech. It will be nice if I can run it on 20-21 and feel cool and not roast.

The thing is, you have air flow. If it’s icing up, there’s no, or reduced airflow.
