Confused with my diff.

I was reading the VY sticky thread on Diffs and from what I gathered

VY V6 Manuals have a ratio of 3.46:1 and auto's were 3.08:1.

Storms are just an Spac with some badges.

So I got under my storm and had a look at the diff... This is what I found.

Now I'm confused, I have a manual ute with a 3.07 LSD?

might have been an option to get a LSD ? as for the ratio im unsure

I just went through all the log books and service receipts etc. and there is nothing about having to replace the diff or changing ratios.

only thing in the pile of receipts regarding the diff was when I had to get the mounting holes re-threaded.

Checked the little plate under the bonnet and it's a factory manual.

Does it rev quite high at 100 in 5th/6th? What ever you have?

Utes often have an LSD and different ratios so it could be factory

My Vz ute had a LSD from factory in it, most utes have the from factory as far as I know

As far as im aware there are two different diffs in the vy series, each having a different tail shaft. One type diff had gears like 3.07 the other 3.08 or lower. This is what a diff place told me on the phone when i enquired about diffs and gearing anyway.

The non LSD diff had a 3.08:1 ratio and the LSD version had the 3.07:1 ratio. So this is a factory (M80?) LSD.
