Basically,

Just say what you think needs improving and how the photographer could acheive that.

Ill start with this;

cool idea for a thread, critisim definetly leads to improvement, the sky is a bit washed out and I think a bit more needs to be done to make the car pop off the grey shed (makes it harder with a silver car), play with DOF a bit more to blur out the shed and general crap sitting in the back ground

Good shot though.... just my 2 cents

So use a bigger f stop, say f/11?

Tighter aperture, not looser. f11 will give you a very large depth of field. I see that was shot at 50mm @ f5. Depending on what lens/es you have, try something longer than 50mm and narrower than f5. Try to isolate the car from the background. If you have a 50 f1.8 try using it at f1.8 with focus on the car. The quality won't be great, but it will illustrate the difference. You would just have to lower the ISO/increase the shutter speed to compensate for the extra light.

I know there is a lot wrong but im ready to hear it.

The pictures with the yellowish light i had White balance set to AWB but i dont think it coped (that was what the light looked like through my eyes though, really yellow)

But yeah, hit me up with some pointers

Cheers,
Davo.

Looks good. No EXIF data since you used CS4 this time, but I'd guess 50mm f4?

Bad points are, it's a bit flat, not much colour in it. Car could be more isolated with a wider aperture, but not too much wider. Looks like the depth of field ends not much after the rear end, so that's good. Maybe a tiny bit too wide, but not much.

I edited it for shits and giggles. Hope you don't mind. Just in case you see something you like, all I did was:
- Increase saturation of entire image
- High Pass Filter sharpen of original image, layer type 'Vivid Light', opacity 30%. Erased all of the HPF layer except the car, to help isolate/sharpen it.
- Selected all background/foreground except the car using quick mask/brush, slightly blurred.
- Desaturated windscreen as increasing saturation made the blue sky reflection too strong

cool it was 115mm at f/5.6 i put a gradient over it to darken the sky to bring the car out, but what you did achieved what i was attempting a lot better.

I dont mind if at any point you edit my photos, your more than welcome too, just as long as you do the whole steps of what you did as above :p

Thanks.

Had some other pics of the car on here and one guy said they look grainy.
