So, I was looking at stroker kits online and had this great idea! Instead of pissing about making my engine bigger, why dont I just buy with a bigger engine to start with? holden V8s are expensive and they sound gay, so I thought Id be a little different and use a 245 hemi instead. I bought some old chrysler POS as a donor car, and Ive already ripped the engine out of the commodore. Will post pics of the project in the next few days

Heres the POS i got the engine out of. Got $140 for the body today as scrap steel, win!
Going to use a T5 I got out of a VP, the commodore pressureplate matches up to the chrysler flywheel perfect, just needs new holes drilled and tapped and maybe a bit machined out of the center for clearance

That sounds great - I had a few hemi Valiants in the past and they certainly could motivate despite only having a twin barrel carby. A 265 would be better but beggars can't be choosers. Hope it all goes well.

Hey mate i love the idea but my cuzin who's a mechanic told me you cant put in a motor thats older then the car itself, i dunno if he's right but it kinda makes sense since the older the motor it is the more its been used (generaly) which affects its structural ingetrity

The OP lives in New Zealand - they have a 'warrant of fitness' or something like that to pass the law.
