Cough, splutter and stall on LPG HELP!! ;-(

my first incling would be that your car's a broken down death trap, which appears to be leaking either LPG or petrol from a hose somewhere in your engine bay, where it's igniting on the extractors.

If you value your life (or the flammable components within your engine bay) i suggest you attend to the problem post haste! Keeping a fire extinguisher at hand might be an idea too.

What sort of damage did it do to the engine bay? What parts of it were burnt?

Thats the silly thing it didnt burn any parts..it just shot flame out the bonnet and made a loud crack..any ideas about the leak? sorry took so long to get back

sounds like you blew the diaphram on your mixer and you have a slight gas leak.. I'd be careful

i get about 500 k to a tank of LPG... and like mat im in mebourne.
as for Worked Berlina - your running too rich and its going out a hole in the air intake pipe, commonly made to suppress backfiring.
Ms Stato - have you checked your coil? if the resistance is only a tad out then the gas will **** itself and not work on occasions, also check the timing!

well mines a vp v6, so if yours is a v6, check the coil packs. i had the last one (closest to the engine) out by about 3 ohms and it didnt like that!
had it replaced and she works fine, also a tune is beneficial, i was getting down to 300 k to the tank and she smelt real bad... now im getting 500-550 and got so much more pickup.
If your in melbourne, i know a good gas guy...
