my aunty & uncle just picked up a brand spanker sv6, i told them to hold off for the my09's, they then told me it is thats why they got it.

the thing i noticed in it tho, which i cant say ive seen in them is it has satin chrome looking switch surrounds on the steering wheel and insert and a few other bits in the interior, but i havnt kept up with the ve's so i dont know where things are at or when it came in,

oh and alloys and a/c are standard on the omega so maybe it is my09?

it will have 9 in the VIN as you would know. But they are probably already at 09 spec now

So they are selling cars with a 9 already - thats a bit sneaky.

The MY09 was released late March this year. For those that bought a new commodore this year just check your VIN. The MY09 is identified by 9LXXXXXX (second half of the VIN ID number) XXXXXX indicates numbers.

Funny thing is the 09 year for Holden would normally start 1 Sep 08.

They really got in early this year. So the second hand car yardies will love this 09 model - VE's with 150,000kms on the clock and still in 2009.

I think it's to do with the G8 production - meet US time lines for a model year compliance. You cant ship a car the the US if its build date is "out of date". So 09 it is
