Hi Everyone,
Replacing the crank angle sensor, HB and crank seal.

The seal was a bugger to remove, and now the new one will NOT go in.

Using a small & large hammer, tapping around the sides, but as soon as one side is in the other pops out.

HELP, please.

Normally this is done with a suitable socket with the timing cover off, I doubt you will find a socket deep enough to fit over the crank shaft with the cover in place...you need a suitable drift, take the seal to a hardware store and find a bit of pipe of the right diameter alloy or copper would be best but you might get away with pvc (never tried it) put the seal in a zip lock bad and throw it into the freezer for 1/2 an hr this will shrink it a tiny bit so you need less force to knock it into place

Thanks for the reply Wozza. Took a chance and bought another seal. It went on without a problem, go figure.
