Yep....It wont have a maf.
Or it shouldn't.
Have heard of tuners not taking them off after a tune. Lazy may be????

Are there any tell tale signs of a MAFless tune?

Yep....It wont have a maf

lol....that does make perfect sense i guess. I kind of thought that the MAF would be left in place after a MAFless tune but that defeat the purpose of increasing the airflow past the MAF wouldn't it :D

Yep....It's usually taken off. Mine was.
Unless you want it to look stock.

I'm surprised at the increase in responsiveness after cleaning the MAF. Gave the throttle body another very quick clean as well while i was there but gave the MAF a thorough clean. The mesh was filthy but couldn't see to much crap on the MAF elements but i guess with something as sensitive as these things it doesn't take much grime to on them to cause issues.
Another question i have is what is the small blub like sensor halfway between the throttle body and MAF? It had PBT written on the plastic.

Hmmm. Are you sure it's between the T/B and the maf, or between the maf and the air filter box. Sounds like the Air Intake Temperature (IAT) sensor.
But they are located on the air filter box.
According to this site, http://www.sickcn.com/media/4264/PBT_en.pdf a PBT sensor is a universal electronic pressure transmitter.
Whether they are the same thing or the names are just the same and they are a different item.......
