I was checking out my acc. and brake petals the other day to see if they unscrewed via a hex-screw or something. Does anyone know if it possible to remove the stock petals on a VR and put your own custom ones on?

Ok, so how do i go about removing the stock petals on there?

I couldn't see that they were screwed on or anything, it looked like they were one whole piece

if its anything like my vn, the rubber part of the brake pedal come off. you dont actually remove the pedal, you just put the aftermarket pedals over the top and screw them on tight.

be careful though, some aftermarket pedals are illegal. get some VY SS pedals. they look good in almost any commodore

can you actually get away getting the HSV/Monaro pedals on a VR or will it cause a defect when taking it for rego?

As far as I am aware you need a rubber surface on the pedal to pass roadworthy?
