so being wired to the rear auxilary input, what does this enable the new dvd player to do?? other then just getting wired in seperatly?

so it works only when u click AUX on the original headunit?? can you still change ur volume on the steering wheel or not?? thats all i can really think of at the moment?? just looking at the pros and cons of doing it this way. cheers josh

Awesome fit out mate.

Quick question, would the screens from a SS-V fit onto a SV6??

Yes, however the hvac controls need to be reprogrammed to suit the sv6, and the dual zone a/c wont work, only single zone.

The rear aux in would enable the sound from the dvd player to go through the factory speakers, if its like the other ones I have seen, you would hit play on the dvd then hit the aux on factory unit, thus enabling you to change volume on the steering wheel, or mute for phonecalls etc.

Yes wqorks when aux is on and volume control also you can adjust the setting s through the factory head unit to sound better.

the dvd player has a steering wheel remote clipped on form clarion. so all is done by remote.

also the bluetooth and mute works fine muting sound when call comes in.

Through the original head unit using aline out level converter etc, or soon there is a person building a small module that fits into your old head unti and picks up the signals before it goes to the speakers. They have one for the vy vz blaupunkt units VE one not to far away.

Hope this helps

you cudnt come out of the dvd head deck through the rcas and do it that way?? because line output converters are pretty crap and will never be as good as a new headunit like the dvd 1 u have??

or would it be better to hook up the new headunit on its own and run subs amps and **** that way?? cheers josh

out of factory head unit use a line out converter or wait for the internal mod chip where the signals are picked up before they exit via the speaker wires similiar to the vxyz mod see the car audio site for more info.
