- 8AWG for 1 - 400 WRMS
- 4AWG for 400 - 600 WRMS
- 2AWG for 600 - 1000 WRMS
- 0AWG for 100 and upwards

Those RMS values seem to low for the wire size. Im running a jaycar monoblock, 1500wrms and its recommended wire size is 2guage

thats great that you can recommend power through a wire with out specifying the length or the types of amplifier class!
amazing, next people might start to cure blindness by snapping their fingers............

current capacity is dependiant on length.

You cant give a guide based on wrms power figures. As garfa said about amplifer classes, some amps will draw more current than others.. this is called efficiency. The best way to judge which gauge is best suited for your setup is by its current capacity and how much current your system draws.

you cant give a current capacity of a wire with out specifying lenght. there is no general rule.

i tend to agree, however would the resistance caused by this length of wire have a menial impact on the system? I guess if you really get down to it, it definitely can't be overlooked, however from a car audio perspective i wouldn't think it'd have a huge impact?

to the OP one thing you should tell us (although I'm betting it is the gains also) is what is the impedance rating at 1000wrms? Also, what impedance are the subs? Are they wired in series or parrallel?

Whoa boy!

Set those gains correctly first!!! you will kill your subs otherwise,

also make sure the load presented to the amp is within its safe range.

When using 2 woofers, you need to know the voice coil configurations to tell exactly how to wire them properly, are they dual 2Ohm or Dual 4 Ohm voice coils? or single 4Ohm or 2Ohm?
are they wired in series or parallel?

These 3 things are all important to the setups safety and longevity plus how it sounds.

You want the maximum for your gear mate, setup is where its at.
