It's called a telephoto lens, I joke that mine can see ants on the moon.

And you know what lens they used, how?

If they used a Telephoto lens, given that they are sitting in what appears to be a room, is the photo taken through an open window?

It is quite feasible they took it through a window, it doesn't even need to be open.

For instance I took a picture of people in a Cherry Picker at Clipsal earlier this year from high up in the Grandstand, they were just dots to the naked eye but the picture looks like I was a few feet away from them.
