Has anyone had a cv joint for the rear axles let go? Mine went and i wasnt doing a burnoit or anything. It just clean broke apart. It was only 2 months old. Aftermarket as i didnt think i'd be able to get a genuine one anymore. Has this happened to anyone else?

Havent had it happen, but if you dont treat them right during install you can damage them. Genuine prices are insane. $300 each when i priced them up for my VT or $90 each aftermarket.

What do you mean "treat them right during install"?
We have just had one fail after a year, just thought it was because the car is lowered, any advice before we install the replacement would be appreciated.

If you let them hang at an obtuse angle or pull too extremly on the ends there is a possibility you might unseat something in the CV joint. But having a lowered car also puts unnatural and undesigned strain on the CV's which can cause premature failure.
