Also, having watched first hand vicpol shooting pistols at the range there would’ve been a better chance of them shooting a bystander than the tyre sadly.

I can tell u SAPOL aren’t much better neither.

I wouldn’t call one qualifying shoot a year ‘highly trained’.
I have to do 10 shoots a year minimum and I’m not carrying in public, go figure.

I wasn’t a cop but we had to do 3 to 4 shoots a year, trained by Police firearms instructors & military firearms instructors, I’m not sure what they do now, I haven’t been in that frame of work in over 10 years.
