The two front USB ports on my desktop PC have ceased working. I have tried a number of different Flashdrives (all in working order) in them without success. The other ports at the rear are still operating correctly.

The PC is an HP Pavilion model P6345a.

Are these two ports separately fused from the rest of the circuits so that the prob might just be a blown fuse, or is some other internal fault more likely?

Edit: All sorted. Fixed by simply re-booting.

It's always the most obvious of things that end up being the cure lol, glad you got it sorted without pulling it all apart etc

Just for future reference, computers don't often "blow fuses".

But it could have very easily been a loose connection inside the case, seeing as it was front panel, not back panel (which is physically attached to the motherboard)
