if u do cooler then best to use thermostat for the oil so it warms up to proper temps, if it stays to low there are tune settings based on trans temp that will be affected, good operation is usually in the 60-80 range, the bigger pan holds more oil where its needed so track work or hard take off wont starve the pickup and more volume never hurts

missus has the GM factory carmaro deep sump on her supercharged w497 for couple years now, and had no problems at all, it uses a holden colorado extended filter-pickup, which is the same pick-up as the caramo one
holds around one liter more of trans fluid
eagle spares melb were selling the GM caramo trans pans for $50 new a few years ago
i recommend it to any one with a vf SS auto as it stops the free reving so called flaring during hard acceleration and kickdown
adding a cooler even better

Thanks do you know roughly what the extra height or depth is above the stock pan?
