So recently a woman drove into me, destroying the whole IRS. its almost fixed besides the huge dent in the rear left passenger door, I cant get the door off so i have to save a bit and let the panel shop do it. My question is in SA will i get defected for a huge dent in the door? are dents a defect? somebody told me they were but im not sure.. thanks in advance

You need to be able to open and close that door from the external handle.

Judging by the damage done to the IRS.... I'd be questioning the state of the chassis.

generally a dent isn't a problem (except the unwanted attention) so long as the door opens and closes and there is not sharp edges a pedestrian will get caught on and dragged down the road it should be fine.
