demerit point question

so iv got about 7 demerit points worth of fines from 3-5 months ago & i was wondering why i still have my licence
i just rang vicroads demerit point line and i still have 3 points left? how does this work?

In QLD you have 12 available on Open and you used to get 4 on P's.

have you paid all your fines?

In QLD the points don't come off until you pay the fines. Also are you sure you got that many demerit points? Perhaps you didn't get as many for the offenses as you thought?

I wouldn't argue. I would have a long hard thought or conversation about the way you drive, stop being a fool and conserve the points you have left.

check your infringement notices, they will tell you how many demerits you accumulated for the offenses.
