found black ones at supercheap and they said they can get the chrome ones, but there $199 for the pair, wasnt keen on paying that at all.

you would think that the black ones would be cheaper as they dont have to be chrome dipped

theyre not actually chromed, theyre just raw cast aluminum, possibly sandblasted with the fins machined flat.

any autobarn that cant get them isnt looking hard enough. we have a book with all the thermostat housings, pulleys and rocker covers kilkenny make.

kilkenny castings are the makers of the rocker covers and as far as i know, all autobarn stores should be suppliers.

thats some contact details of kilkenny themselves, maybe call them up and ask who your closest supplier would be or if they will sell them to you direct.

hmmm, i went out and had a look at the ones on my V6 VR, i have plenty of spares of them, might be an easy little TIG and die grinder job, could make a good little project for somebody with good looking returns
