Disconnecting the aircon question VR

Hey all, im going to romove the motor outa my VR soon, and in a book i have it expains it all pretty clearly, but states that i make sure to DC the aircon first but has absolutely no info on how to do it.

Now, ive pulled the motor outa the my old HQ monaro afew times back in the day but the VR is all new to me.

Any help would be appreciated.

DC i presume means disconnect? If you disconnect the a/c system all the gas will expell into the atmosphere - no good for the ozone. You should take it to a panel shop who have the equipment to vaccuum the gas out. If you are pulling the engine out just disconnect and move to one side and hold it with cable ties, etc. You shouldn't need to disconnect it. Hope it helps.
